It's been a busy year for Women of Note

In January, we held an informal afternoon concert, entitled Succar, Saps and Wine-o, and sang a selection of wonderful, little-known carols, arranged for women's voices by Scottish songwriter and arranger, Ali Burns, who worked with us to prepare the event.

In April, we sang in the church hall of the village of Linton, near Cambridge, to raise funds for a local community group, dedicated to supporting elderly people in the village.

Our most recent concert was on Friday 16 May 2008, in Cambridge's Parkside Community College. It was a great evening of mixed songs and got an enthusiastic response from the audience.

In June, we sang at a very different event, Cambridge's annual Strawberry Fair, on Midsummer Common. It was great fun and our blend of women's voices seemed to go down well.
