Love Songs from Around the World sung by Women of Note

For Valentine's weekend, Women of Note presented two fund-raising concerts of love songs from around the world, in the beautiful setting of two of Cambridge's ancient medieval buildings,Pembroke College Old Library and the Leper Chapel on Newmarket Road.

We performed a selection of unusual and different love songs, old and new, from around the world, including songs from Greece, Spain, Scotland, Sweden and Canada, interspersed with poems and readings on the theme of love and with a very special re-enactment of a scene from Brief Encounter!
